Hot Potatoes

The website that I found most interesting is called "Hot Potatoes". This website allows individuals to download FREE assessment building software. With this software, an educator can create a variety of assessment questions for their students including multiple choice, short answer, matching/ordering, and more. The best part is you can create as many or as few questions as you want...AND your students get instant feedback on how they are doing/did.

After viewing this site, I thought that this would be an excellent tool that a teacher could include as an assessment for any subject area. It would also be a great review tool as well. I can see using this software to create a "jeopardy" style review game in the classroom.

This site is definitely worth checking out!

  1. Thats an awesome site. I need to use it for my beginning band students. I rely on one book way too much. My kids need to know the basics of music before they can even begin to think about playing music. I think giving them a series of assessments will be very beneficial.

  2. That is a pretty cool site. I think it would be great for the kids to review and get practice taking assessments with. It is so nice to be able to tailor an assessment to your own wants and needs. Technology is really enhancing the opportunity for students to learn. We as educators need to figure out how to effectively incorporate technology into our daily plans. We can't just use it to use it, we must use it effectively.
