Meet Mrs. Moberg

My name is Lindsey Waldrep-Moberg. I am originally from Fairbury, Nebraska which is where I graduated from high school in 2003. I graduated with honors from SCC-Beatrice in 2005, then transferred and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Peru State College in 2007. I currently live in Hutchinson, Kansas with my husband, Kevin and daughter, Haven. Haven is our pride and joy. She loves to play, snuggle, and take long walks on the leash--that's right folks! She is our adorable black, miniature schnauzer. I currently co-teach kindergarten every morning and team-teach grades 1-3 in the afternoons in a small, rural district. My job is extremely fulfilling. I love the opportunity I have been given to teach multiple grade levels.

I am definitely a tech-guru. I don't understand how the world functioned without it! As an educator, I use technology everyday! Whether I am recording grades, planning lessons, or updating my school website, I rely on my computer. I am proficient with Mac and PC computers. My school supplies Mac computers for all faculty, while I have a PC desktop and laptop at home. There are aspects of both I really enjoy. I like having all of the different applications at my fingertips. Throughout my day, I use many different types of technology for my lessons. Examples include overhead projectors, computer lab, and the Promethean Board. I use Microsoft Office 2007.

Being a master teacher is extremely important to me. I have always been a well-planned, perfectionist. When I set my mind to do something--I do it. And I do not just do it--I do it to the best of my ability. I don't believe in doing something half-way. I believe not being a life-longer learner is only doing my job half-way. It is important for me to show my students education is important and that I want to provide them with the best lessons possible. For the time being, I will simply use my Master's to develop a further knowledge of best practices. Eventually, I would like to become an administrator and/or teach courses at college level.
